我去查了一下這部小說
大意如下:
'Salem's Lot tells the tale of Ben Mears, a writer who comes back to his home
town, the fictional town of Jerusalem's Lot, Maine (or "'salem's Lot", as the
locals call it). He is there to see The Marsten House, an old house that has
given him nightmares for years because of a bad experience with it as a child.
As it turns out, the house has been bought by a Mr. Barlow, who seems very
suspicious to Ben. Over the course of the book, the town is slowly taken over
by vampires, while Ben and a few people he meets in the town try to figure
out what Barlow is up to and try to stop the vampires from taking over.
主角是個作家, 他回到他的家鄉 Jerusalem's Lot,
也就是當地人口中的 Salem's Lot.
他回到故鄉是為了去看一幢 The Marsten House,
因為這房子給了他小時候很不好的回憶,
讓他作了好幾年的惡夢.
翻到這裡, 我覺得 Em利用這個情節的可能性很大,
我想 "作家" "故鄉" "房子" "惡夢" "童年的回憶" 這些東西,
對 Em的歌迷來說應該很熟悉了吧?? :P
