AS HOMECOMINGS go, it was loud, proud and heart-warming.
The Burnage brothers Gallagher may have been away from their
heartland for some time, but they made up for that with a show
that proved last night that absence makes the heart grow fonder.
In the build-up to our heroes arrival, the PA blasted out great
Mancunian songs of yesteryear to little acknowledgement from
the crowd.
But when Liam Gallagher strutted on stage in a Reni-style hat,
shades and gangster-style pinstripe suit, the sell-out crowd went w
ild at the slightest lift of his tambourine.
The opening blast of Turn Up The Sun followed by chart topper
Lyla and over-looked oldie Bring It On Down stoked the fires of the
crowd perfectly.
But it was the potent double of Morning Glory and Cigarettes And Alcohol
that saw both crowd and band finally loosen up.
The last time Oasis played at the home of their childhood heroes,
Manchester City, it was 1996 and the venue was Maine Road.
Oasis回到故鄉曼城, 連續三場大型演唱會中的第一場! Liam的穿著跟在NYC
時頗為類似, 開場的前三首歌就讓整場觀眾情緒為之沸騰. 另外"Acquiesce"
以及"Guess God Think I'm Abel"這兩首之前巡迴未出現的曲目也現身, 整個
歌單也稍稍做了調整喔!

OASIS were left to entertain the crowd for 25 minutes after a
barrier broke at the beginning of their show in MANCHESTER last
night.The band stopped playing halfway through ‘Turn Up The Sun’
and guitarist Noel Gallagher announced to the crowd at the City
of Manchester Stadium: “Alright look Ive been told the barrier
at the front has broken down so if everyone can just take one or
two steps back we’ll start playing again. Otherwise we can’t go
on with the show. If anybody does get injured though make sure they
get a fucking t-shirt on the way out.”
Frontman Liam Gallagher, who was dressed in a red leather jacket
and a white cricket hat, then joked: “I bet you don’t get this
at Live 8,” before the band were left standing on stage for the
next 25 minutes while organisers fixed the problem.
During that time Noel kept the audience amused by telling jokes and
by urging the fans to sing: “Who the fuck are Man Utd?”
Liam eventually butted in and shouted: “Let’s just get somebody
in the crowd to get their tits out,” and for the next 10 minutes,
constant cheers could be heard ringing around the ground as several
girls beared their breasts on camera for the first time since Oasis’
Standing On The Shoulder of Giants tour back in 2000.
“Can you imagine what the people outside must be thinking with all
this cheering going on and no music? They must be wondering what the
fuck is going on,” joked Noel before he went on to say: “You
wouldn’t get this at a Coldplay gig would you?”

一大半! 迫使Noel必須宣布要觀眾"冷靜",也使得演唱會延誤了25分鐘才開始.
這段時間Oasis並不像以往一樣回到休息室, Liam和Noel反而跟觀眾聊起天開起
玩笑來!! 同時惡名昭贓的"As the traditon, BREASTS on the screen!!"又出現
囉 :D Noel還開玩笑說 "體育場外頭的人一定覺得奇怪, 場內啥音樂也沒有
可是觀眾卻嗨成這樣...你在Coldplay演唱會上不會有這種反應吧? "

When oasis came on it was fucking mental, i was right at the
front, and gradually moved back throughtout the setlist. liam
was spot on.. he got confused in one song though and mixed up
a verse, but everyone song was amazing... especially guess god
thinks im abel, EVERYBODY WAS SINGING.
the only bad thing about the gig was the sound... the sound was
average, sometimes you could hardly hear liam, and i couldnt hear
noel at all in any of the songs... compared to finsbury park the
sound levels were shite...
it was much better than Sunday, mostly because the crowd behaved
a little more and Noel seemed in a much better mood.... I think
partly because Anais and Sara were on the sides, Noel dedicated LBL
to Anais and also Liam dedicated Acquiesce to Nicole.. there were
many kids on the sides.. apart from Anais, Lennon and Gene I assume
it was Gem's kids and also maybe Andy's ... both Gem and Andy seemed
to be enjoying themselves a lot.... and Liam and Noel were in a much
better mood... amazing.. best gig I've ever been to!!
三場中的最後一場(也是pasty她們去的那場!) 相較於前兩場, Noel顯得心情是
更好了許多(前兩場似乎是Noel冷Liam熱) 團員們的家屬也都有到現場來觀賞演出,
Noel把"Little By Little"獻給了女兒Anais, Liam則是把"Acquiesce"獻給了
Nicole. 整場曲目與第二晚相同!

這一系列三場的曼城演唱會, 據國外樂迷指出似乎體育場的音響老是出問題...
整個音場顯的有點怪, Noel的聲音也常常模糊甚至聽不見合音. 同時現場也有多部
攝影器材, 預計7/9應該會有轉播 (可能是轉播第二場)
