Baxendale / You Will Have Your Revenge (2001) Baxendale 聽起來像是 New Order、Pet Shop Boys 放在一起　就是放到八零舞曲中也相當出色 -- 實際上放了就停不下來 :p 但是也不只是這樣，Tim Benton 的聲音承襲了 Serge Gainsbourg, Momus, Jarvis 那種帶著嘲諷意味的自覺著流行歌曲本質的氣質 ꄠMusic For Girls 的開頭他這樣唱著： Oh I remember back in '91, feeling good jumping on my bed I had my favourite record on, my brother came into my room and said: "well if this is really music I wouldn't want it in my world well if this is really music ... this is music for girls" so back in town, in '95, filling in for a drunken DJ I tried to keep the floor alive, but all the boys at the bar would say: "well if this is really music I wouldn't want it in my world well if this is really music ... 然後描述著他跟一個女孩子的故事，青春的殘片跟舞池交錯的記憶　舞曲跟合聲用力的跳著，與那嘲諷世故的聲音形成高度反差　在這之間，卻沒有人能夠停下來歌詞的最後一段是這樣寫的 this is music for girls - oh everything has all gone wrong it feels like I'm singing the blues I'll write a million modern pop songs but from now on, this is music for you and only for you, this is music for you, I don't care about anyone else, please, don't go... 　易碎的夢想與蒼白的浮華，如果不是這樣的舞曲，也難以企及。　這些句子如果看作創作的註腳，也許更能察覺出這些完美的 Dance-Pop 的價值　以及那些八零年代的音樂怎麼留下了痕跡。 http://www.musicforgirls.co.uk -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.csie.ntu.edu.tw) ◆ From: 211.74.127.15
