Justine Frishman was at first a member of Suede and Brett's girlfriend, but then she got together with Damon, was thrown out of Suede, and formed Elastica. It was the most famous gossip of the britpop scene, and it was also common knowledge that Damon and Brett felt a lot of rivalry and hated each other. Damon himself said that the song "Charmless Man" was about Brett Anderson! 3. http://www.high-cool.net/facts_t.htm 'Charmless Man' was previewed when Blur were supporting REM at their Milton Keynes concert in 1995. It has been rumoured that this song is about Morrisey or Justine Frishmann's brother or Brett Anderson. "I'm an 80's kid and The Smiths were one of my bands, but the title's not supposed to be a clever pun. I only met Morrissey once - I satnext to him at an awards ceremony last year and he sort of just limply shookmy hand.
