05 May 2004: Here's some latest news on the band members...
The band took a break from recording, but the members are still keeping
themselves busy with side projects and other events.
Dolores has returned to Canada to be with her family after the court
appearances in Ireland. Thanks to all of you who sent in words of support
during this period. She will now focus on the engagements lined-up for over
the summer, starting with the May 6th appearance at London's Royal Albert Hall
. She is participating in the concert by Italian artist Zucchero, along with
many other artists including Pavarotti, Brian May, Ronan Keating, and Cheb
Mami.
Noel is still working away on his first solo album in Limerick and London,
and has recorded sixteen pieces of music so far. He is not singing himself,
but instead, using featured male and female vocalists from various countries.
Noel's solo music is varied and the album is likely to contain at least two
instrumentals. He expects to complete the recording in the next few months
with a release date as early as the end of the year, if it all possible.
No distributor is in place yet and he may choose to make some of the music
available through downloads. But at the moment he is really enjoying
collaborating with the various artists involved in his project.
Fergal is busy at home in Limerick working at his studio, and teaching himself
all about programming! He also played percussion on one of Noel's solo works
last month.
And Mike is awaiting the birth of his second child, which is due in just a few
weeks!
