West Side Boys and East Side Girls Rhythm and blues and all that jazz aside (no offence, David Tao!), Tension are essentially five young dudes with, well, the same yearnings and desires when it comes to BGR! When the Tension fivesome waltzed into town, we had to find out what exactly about these LA boys that reduces girls to mush. And guess what? They turned out to be a bunch of "sappy romantics" when it comes to the dating game. Aww… Welcome to Singapore, guys! How do you find the city? Raymond: The city has a good vibe. It's very cultural. When we got here, there were people waving to us from the lobby. Andy: For a person like me who likes city life, it's wonderful. You can enjoy the view. Everything seems so serene. Jimmy: I had some time to walk around this morning and I was thinking to myself I would live here if I had the opportunity. I like places that are multicultural. That's what attracts me about Singapore. John: I couldn't sleep last night and took a walk around. I would really love to come back. If I had a date, I'd like to bring her here. It's really romantic here. Brian: It's not like Los Angeles where the buildings and everything's clumped together. Everything here looks well organised. I get more of a European vibe here, more elegant, more refined. Q:歡迎你們來到新加坡, 你們覺得這個城市怎樣? RAYMOND: 這個城市很有氣氛, 很有文化氣息。當我們來到這裏, 在大堂就有人向我們揮手 ANDY: 對喜歡城市生活的我來說, 這裏非常好。你可以享受這裏的景色, 一切都好像很平靜 JIMMY:今天早上我有些時間去逛逛這裏, 我想如果我有機會的話, 我會住在這裏。我喜歡多文化的地方, 這就是新加坡吸引我的地方 JOHN: 昨天晚上我睡不著, 出去逛逛。我真的想回來, 如果我有約會, 我想帶她來這裏, 這裏真的很浪漫 BRIAN: 這裏不像洛杉機, 那裏的建築物和所有東西是堆在一起, 這裏看起來就很有組織, 這裏我覺得更有歐洲氣氛,更優美。 With all that strolling you did, you must have met some local girls! How do you find them? Raymond: (Bashfully) I think a lot of them are very attractive. Very tall, long hair. Andy: Everybody looks better here. It's a kind of exoticness. In LA, every girl puts on make-up and it's the same in Taiwan. People here are more natural, they don't wear that much make-up. Jimmy: They seem very independent. Not like some countries where the girls are very passive and they don't say much. John: They seem more conservative and mysterious. I want to go up to them and find out more about them. I like the quiet type 'cos I'm shy and quiet myself. I don't like girls who party too much. Brian: I haven't got the chance to walk around like Jimmy and John. But the girls I see seem friendly and open hearted. They don't go out of their way to make guys take notice of them. Q:你們都逛過這裏, 你們一定遇見了一些本地女孩子, 你們覺得她們怎樣? RAYMOND: (害羞地)我覺得她們很多都很吸引, 很高, 長頭髮 ANDY: 這裏的每個人看起來好些, 是一種異國情調, 在LA, 每個女孩子都化妝跟台灣的一樣,這裏的人比較自然, 他們不會化很多妝 JIMMY: 他們看起來好獨立, 不像其他國家的女孩子那樣被動和很少講話 JOHN: 他們看來更保守和神祕,我想去了解他們. 我喜歡這種靜的類型因為我自己是害羞和靜,我不喜歡那種不常去尋歡作樂的女孩子 BRIAN: 我還沒有機會像JIMMY和JOHN一樣出去逛逛,但我見過的女孩子看來很友善和直率, 他們不會做一些有別於常人的事來讓人留意他們 Say you have to put up a personal ad one day. How would it read? Raymond: I have to think about it…"No bad habits, doesn't smoke, doesn't gamble, looking for a steady relationship". Hahaha! "From age 18 to 25." I've never thought about that. Andy: Now that's interesting. I would say "A friend for the rest of your life". When I look for a girlfriend, I would want to be friends first. At least we'd still be friends if things don't work out well. Jimmy: I would probably say…I don't know. If I had to post a personal ad to get a girl, it's pretty sad, and if the girl has to look at personal ads to get a guy, it's sad too! (Laughs) I'd probably say, "Call me if you have the time?". John: I really don't know! Brian: Probably say…this is like really hard! Maybe "Old-fashioned, romantic, patient. If you're looking for a good time, and a laugh, give me a call". Q:有一天, 叫你要做一個個人廣告, 那個廣告會是怎樣? RAYMOND: 我要想一想,"無壞習慣, 不抽煙, 不賭搏, 尋找一段穩定的關係" HAHAHA!"18至25歲"我從不想這個 ANDY: 那個很有趣, 我會說"(一個可在你無聊時出現的朋友)". 當我找女朋友的時候, 我會想先做朋友. 如果我們不能成為情侶,至少我們還是朋友. JIMMY: 我大概會說......我不知道. 如果我要為找女朋友而去做一個個人廣告, 這好可悲, 和那個要看個人廣告去找男朋友, 都一樣可悲(大笑)我大概會說"如果你有時間, 打電話給我" JOHN: 我真的不知道 BRIAN: 可能會說, 真的很難!可能是"守舊, 浪漫, 有耐心, 如果你正在找一個快樂的時間和大笑, 打電話給我" Who would you date? Raymond: (Nonchalently) Oh, Andy, Jimmy…(in the background, Andy's protesting: "We don't date guys!") Lately I saw this model, her name is Maggi Q. Andy: I have the biggest crush on Jessica Alba ever since I saw her on TV long ago. I read an article on her and she's very tomboy and friendly with guys. (Brian: "What's wrong with girly girls?") Nothing wrong! She's fun to be with and the look on her face just attracts me. Jimmy: Erm…I don't really know. Someone help me out? (John: "Mandy Moore!") Huh? I don't even know how she looks like! I think the question is, who would I not date? Chynna, the wrestler? Hahaha! Oh, I know! I would date Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I really like the movie and I think I'm like the beast (growls and scrunches up his face)! John: Do you know who Katie Holmes is? From Dawson's Creek? I don't really watch that show but a lot of girls do and aww… Brian: I was going to say Katie Holmes. (Wryly) It's pretty lame; I got hooked on the serial by some little girl. I really like [Katie Holmes] 'cos she got the personality I'm looking for. She's someone you can sit at home and talk about everything. Q:你會約會誰? RAYMOND: (冷靜地)()Oh, Andy, Jimmy...(在後面, ANDY聲明:我們不約會人) 最近我看到一個model, 她叫Maggie Q ANDY: 自從很久之前我在電視上看到Jessica Alba, 我就好迷戀她. 我看過一篇有關她的文章, 她是很像男孩的女生和對人很好. (BRIAN: 女性化的女孩子有問題嗎?) 沒有! 跟她一起很有趣和她的樣子很吸引我 JIMMY: Erm...我真的不知道. 有人可以我(JOHN: Mandy Moore!) Huh? 我連她長的怎樣我也不知道! 我想問題是'我不會跟誰約會?' Chynna, the wrestler? Hahaha! Oh, 我知道了! 我會約會"美女與野獸"的 Belle. 我真的很喜歡這套電影和我覺得我像那隻野獸(咆哮和捻自己的臉) JOHN: 你們知道誰是Katie Holmes? 來自Dawson's Creek? 我不是看很多這個SHOW但有很多女孩子是看很多次和aww.....
