From @unicefnextgen Since the launch of the Global Polio Eradication
Initiative (GPEI), 34 years ago, polio has decreased by almost 99%. However,
we are not a polio-free world just yet.
Polio is an entirely preventable disease, and those who are vaccinated are
protected against it. During the past 34 years, UNICEF has played a key role
in delivering vaccines and strengthening health systems for the most
vulnerable children around the world. UNICEF and its partners are committed
to achieving a world free from polio in the next few years.

自全球根除小兒麻痺症計畫 (GPEI) 開始的 34 年以來，小兒麻痺症減少了近 99%，然而
小兒麻痺症並沒有徹底消失。
小兒麻痺症是完全可以預防的疾病，接種過疫苗的人就會受到保護。在過去的 34 年中，
