RADIO 2 CELEBRATES SGT PEPPER’S 40TH WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM...OASIS

To mark Radio 2’s 40th anniversary of the Beatles’ seminal album
“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” Oasis have recorded a
version of the George Harrison penned classic “Within You, Without
You”.
The track’s producer is Geoff Emerick, engineer on the original
album. He used the same four-track mixing desk and tape machine to
record the track in Abbey Road’s Studio 2, where the original song
was also recorded. A Radio 2 documentary on the re-recording of all
tracks from Sgt. Pepper’s is available on the BBC website link below.
Oasis are just one of the acts contributing towards the re-recordings
from the album, along with Stereophonics, Libertines, Razorlight,
Zutons and others.
