: BEIJING -- Taiwanese shingle Double Edge Entertainment has sold its $3
: million 3D concert film, "Mayday 3DNA," about the band Mayday, to Deltamac in
: Hong Kong, Galloping Horse in Mainland China and Icon Film Distribution in
: Australia.
: "This rock band is like The Beatles of today among Chinese ages 16 to 50.
: Mayday will sell out a Shanghai stadium with 150,000 fans... no American rock
: band does that and six concerts in Hong Kong just sold out in one hour," said
: Steve Chicorel, Double Edge's director of international distribution.
: Double Edge has also acquired "Spin Kid" from Taiwan helmer Joe C. Lee.
: Pic stars Blue Lan, who featured in Taiwan's biggest local hit this year,
: "Night Market Hero," and "Gangster Rock," which Van Fan from another Taiwan
: hit "Cape No. 7."
