[新聞] Sigur Rós Singer Remixes Depeche Mode
大意是Sigur Rós主唱要幫DM的"Come Back"混音
然後Dave的腸胃問題讓DM取消了不少表演
不過美國一獨立團Grizzly Bear的主唱說,他週末在紐約的電影院看見Dave
到底是看錯,還是Dave特別從歐洲飛回家休息...?(Dave目前住紐約沒錯)

Sigur Rós Singer Remixes Depeche Mode
MGMT remix Depeche Mode, too. Sigur Rós Singer Remixes Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode have been cranking out dark, heady synthpop for upwards of 25
years now, so they've been remixed a lot. Everyone from Shep Pettibone to
Paul van Dyk, Goldfrapp to DJ Shadow and M83 to Air have all had their way
with Depeche tracks. But a new Depeche Mode remix might turn out different
from any that came before.
According to a post on the Sigur Rós website, Sigur Rós frontman Jon Þor "J
ónsi" Birgisson has remixed "Come Back", a brooding, elegiac ballad from
Depeche's new Sounds of the Universe album. It's anyone's guess how Jónsi's
keening romanticism will mesh with Depeche's arch synthetic churn, but we're
curious to hear it. According to that post, the remix will appear only on the
7" vinyl version of Depeche's forthcoming "Peace" single. Meanwhile, synth
hippies MGMT remix "Fragile Tension" for one CD version of the "Peace"
single. (Other "Peace" remixers include Justus Köhncke and Hervé.)
In related news, Birgisson's side project with boyfriend Alex Somers will
release its debut album, Riceboy Sleeps, this summer. It's due July 20 in
Europe via Parlophone and July 21 in the U.S. via XL. He talked to us about
the album here.
Depeche Mode, meanwhile, are in the midst of a huge world tour, though Dave
Gahan's stomach flu has forced them to cancel a few shows. (Grizzly Bear's Ed
Droste thought he saw him at a movie theater in New York City over the
weekend, though.)
