Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy together again, as Renee Zellweger reunites with Colin Firth to film 'pregnancy' scenes The couple became one of the favourite film duos in recent history after their success in the first two films - and fans are overjoyed to see them reunite Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy have become one of the most loved film couples of recent years - and now they're back, sending fans into a state of complete hy steria. Renee Zellweger has reunited with Colin Firth on set of the third film, Bridge t Jones' Baby, as a very pregnant Bridget reveals her ever-growing bump in the new movie. At last we were treated to a glimpse of Mark Darcy in his formal suits - sport ing longer hair but otherwise largely unchanged from the last two films. In one snap, he's seen in his usual office attire, before appearing to hug a b runette - spelling drama no doubt for his other half. His sartorial prowess aside, fans may not be pleased to hear that the star is not wearing a wedding ring in the photos. The second film, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason, ended with Bridget getting engaged to Mark Darcy. As to whether this hints at any upcoming storylines is not clear, as author He len Fielding has not released much information. Meanwhile Bridget, played by Renee, looks down in the dumps in the latest snap s as she slips into baggy dungarees and a large cardigan - back to the lead st ar we know and love. It comes after new pictures emerged showing Renee reprising her much-loved cha racter. The 46-year-old was pictured on set and in character this week as she filmed a t the Sainsbury's supermarket in Woolwich, London. The lovable Bridget appeared to be sporting a baby bump barely concealed by a big fluffy blue coat. A comfy pair of black knee-high boots and blue skinny jeans completed her outf it. The storyline for the third film, the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 movie Br idget Jones: The Edge of Reason, has been shrouded in secrecy but is expected to bridge the gap between the 2013 book, Mad About the Boy. And Bridget certainly looks a lot different from the last time we saw her sing ing into her TV remote. We were offered the first glimpse of how Bridget has aged since the last insta llmentthis week and she has upgraded her trusty journal for a more modern iPad . Renee gained around 30lbs for the role originally, but the new film appears to feature a slimmer Bridget. Meanwhile, Colin Firth will return as love interest Mark Darcy and while Hugh Grant's Daniel Cleaver won't be back, there is a very dreamy new addition. Patrick Dempsey, aka Dr. Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd from the medical drama Grey 's Anatomy, is on board. He confirmed the news last week, posting a picture on Instagram showing him po sing outside Pinewood Studios holding an unbrella. He wrote: "Nice to be working in England. Renee and Colin are an absolute joy to work with! "A good couple of days rehearsing at Pinewood Studios. I really like it here!"
