Months after filing from divorce from Kevin Federline in 2006, Britney Spears
suffered an extreme personal breakdown in early 2007 when she stayed in a
drug rehab facility for less than one day, and then proceeded to shave her
head the following night. After staying in various treatment facilities in
the following months, Spears delivered a widely mocked performance of "Gimme
More" at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. In less than two years' time,
however, the pop princess was back on top with sixth studio album "Circus"
and a successful coinciding tour.
