Blur issued reunion statement
Band have 'enjoyable lunch' but say wait for music
All four members of Blur reunited this week (October 1) for the first time
in several years, the band have announced.
The group - who have not shared a room since guitarist Graham Coxon quit
recording sessions in 2002 - all met to discuss future plans over lunch.
The band's official website Blur.co.uk confirmed "that Alex (James, bass),
Damon (Albarn, vocals), Dave (Rowntree, drums) and Graham met for an enjoyable
lunch on Monday".
However the statement suggested fans may have to wait some time before
the band enter the studio or play live again, explaining: "there are currently
no other music plans for Blur".
