British rockers OASIS have announced they will release a Best Of album this
year (06), just months after vowing not to do so until their split.
STOP THE CLOCKS will hit stores in November (06) - an 18-track combination of
their biggest singles and unreleased B-Sides. Just last December (05), song-
writer NOEL GALLAGHER insisted the band would only release a B-sides album
this year - not greatest hits - and attacked bands who cash in with such
albums.
He said, "This is from the horse's mouth. We will only do a Best Of when we
split up. The only thing we've got in the pipeline next year will be another
B-sides album.
"I never understood the MANICS (MANIC STREET PREACHERS) and BLUR putting out
Best Ofs.
"It's kind of saying that whatever you're gonna do from there on is not gonna
be your best. We'll put out a Best Of when we stop. "No Best Of or singles
album until it's done and dusted."
