No regrets for Coxon
Graham Coxon has revealed that Blur have begun recording material
for a new album but he won't be involved because he was in rehab
when they started.
Coxon also revealed that he has no regrets about severing his ties
with the band, insisting that his family comes first.
The guitarist, who is currently promoting his latest album, 'Love
Travels At Illegal Speeds', was battling an alcohol addiction at
the Priory Clinic when the sessions began.
Coxon told Manchester radio station XFM: "I was in the Priory and
Blur went ahead and started recording you know ... it was just a
decision they made."
As for leaving the band, Coxon remarked: "I'm sort of like my own
boss and I can sort of play when I want, record when I want, write
when I want and I don't have to do anything that I don't wanna' do.
"I still think I did the right thing, I still think myself and my
daughter comes first."
