Blur star, and former heavy drinker, Alex James has married video director
Claire Neate in a traditional white wedding. Well, that was, after she could
be arsed to turn up. The bride was a fashionable 15 mins late, leaving
Alex bricking it at the altar (good lass). Putting his reckless lifestyle
firmly behind him, Alex wore a tasteful black suit and his bride looked
blushing in white.
The guest list read like a who's who of moddish pop with his band mate
Damon attending along with Fatboy Slim (he likes marriage) and Sophie
Ellis-Bextor (her mum never bothered with it). After the ceremony, 10
white doves were released and everyone was invited to partake in a little
food and some brandy. Oh Alex, how rock n roll!
