轉自Very Blue家族原轉者Mandi Blue - Anthony, Simon, Duncan and Lee - shot from nowhere to score a massive hit with 'All Rise' at the beginning of the summer and now their latest smash ' Too Close' is set to challenge for the topspot this week. All the early signs suggest Blue are well on their way to becoming the next big thing in the pop world. Watch out Westlife and Five! With this in mind, dotmusic thought it was high time we went down to their London HQ to quiz the quartet about a host of subjects from their creation, influences and success to date. Click on the link at the top of the page for the video interview or read the edited highlights below: What's the story behind Blue? Duncan: "We've known each other for about 3 or 4 years. We've all been in otherprojects that weren't working (the guys have all been in bands that never took off) so it was refreshing when we decided one day to do something ourselves. We've actually worked from our own plan - we got signed to Innocent in September and here we are today. We're not manufactured. We manufactured ourselves." Your musical backgrounds are more soulful than the usual pop band so who do Blue draw influences from? Anthony: "For me it's soul. Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and on an individual note it's probably George Michael." Who do you admire in the industry today? Lee: "Babyface for me, personally. He's a brilliant producer working with Stevie Wonder, Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson, and Eric Clapton. He's worked with all the massive names and he's such a brilliant singer as well. I just love his songs." If you could swap with any other band who would it be? Duncan: "We'd swap with Destiny's Child." Anthony: "I find them boring." Duncan: "Justin Timberlake cos I'd get to be with Britney every day." All: Yeah. Lee: "Or the guy from 98 degrees so I could do Jessica (Simpson). They're all meant to be virgins though aren't they?"
