Lee to make debut as film director
HOPES the Blue boys will be getting back together after next year's break look
doomed.
The boys are furiously setting up careers in the movies and TV with, we can
reveal, Lee Ryan making his debut as a feature film director.
Lee, 21, wrote the script for Changes, a movie about underprivileged kids with
learning difficulties, set in London. He has already done the casting at
inner-city schools in the capital.
A source said: 'Lee spent his six weeks off in the summer studying at a New
York film school.
'He is totally focused on this as his new career. He also signed up with Ray
Winstone's agent.'
Meanwhile bandmate Simon Webbe, 25, has just signed up a role in a new Brit
flick. He is to play a member of a hip-hop band in Rolling With The Nines, set
in the UK criminal underworld.
He will star alongside Lock, Stock and Snatch stars Jason Flemyng, Vas
Blackwood and ex-Bill star Billy Murray. Shooting starts for both Lee and Simon
in a few weeks. Not wanting to miss out, Antony Costa has signed up with an
acting agent and Duncan James has been busy presenting TV shows.
In the meantime, we are intrigued to know - what's going on between Lee and
Robbie Williams?
Two weeks after the Robster declared himself a 'special' fan of the Blue boy,
Lee paid back the compliment on Saturday night, wearing a diamante T-shirt with
Robbie's face on it when he sang with the band - whose single Curtain Falls is
out today - at London's G.A.Y club.
Robbie, 30, recently admitted he thought that Lee was the fittest boy in Blue.
He told gay mag Attitude: 'Lee's like one of those adverts you get at the back
of your magazine - he is totally a gay phoneline ad.'
On Saturday night, Duncan asked the audience whether they had heard that Robbie
said he fancied Lee.
An insider said: 'Everyone was going wild, shouting 'yes'. Then Lee unzipped
his jacket to reveal Robbie's face on his chest. The crowd screamed their heads
off. Lee had the T-shirt specially made. It's quite sweet really. He's never
done that for a girl.'
Lee told us last night: 'I'm flattered by Robbie so I thought I would show him
how much it meant to me by wearing a T-shirt with his head on it as a tribute.'
Enough with the love-in boys...
