For all of you Placebo fans out there who are chomping at the bit
awaiting the next album, we can now inform you that the boys have
now chosen a producer and will be heading back into the studio in
July to begin recording. From what we can gather the creative juices
have been flowing mightily and there is already enough material to
fill a double album! No hints yet as to what direction it might take
with influences all across the board apparently, but one things for
sure it certainly won’t be boring.
Recording will most likely continue throughout the summer into autumn
so that means no more gigs this year unfortunately, but it’ll all
be worth it when the new album comes out.
There is, however, one ray of Placebo light for all of those belonging
to the Silver Rocket Fan Club. A members only gig is definitely on
the cards. This is a member’s only event and takes place in a
smaller much more intimate venue. Those who’ve attended previous
Fan Club gigs will know how good they are and how much the boys
enjoy showcasing material from their new album.
Thanks to Stefan for posting in the SR forum and keeping us all
updated whilst they take a well earned break.
