There's a great kind of uncertainty that surrounds festivals, because you're out of your comfort zone. I think it's a great thing for a band as it requires them to be on their toes and not be complacent. You're playing to other bands' fans and the agenda becomes winning people over as oppose to preaching to the choir. 音樂祭能有很多作法因為並非在自己所能掌控的範圍內所以整個音樂祭都充滿了不確定性我想這對樂團來說是不簡單的事情因為這要求他們要常保警覺而勿志得意滿我們表演給其他團的樂迷看這過程就變成像是攏絡人心與傳教唱詩的兩方對照 HAVE YOU HAD ANY SURPRISING AUDIENCE REACTIONS? I would warn any band to think twice before opening for Metallica. God bless them! It also depends on how masochistic the opening band is and whether they enjoy being covered in ham! That's what happened to me. They must've been giving away free ham sandwiches in tin foil at this gig we played because we got them all onstage. There was a guy whose job it was to sweep them up in between songs! I also got an apple in my nuts that day.
