The expectations of debuting as a solo with a ballad were collapsed with the release of Luna's first album 'Free Somebody'. 'Free Somebody' is of the electronic pop genre that f(x) have been pursuing, with Luna's winding voice making the fantasy-like world of a young girl that f(x) have been drawing so far even clearer. 'Pretty Girl, I hope you never know the bitter taste of coffee. I'll put lots of honey in warm milk for you', sings Luna in 'I Wish'. It is the conclusive track that clearly defines the concept of this album. Luna, who wants to "include the stories of [her] childhood", said that 'I Wish' was originally a ballad. While transforming it to EDM, the addition of childlike emotions in the sad lyrics completed the paradoxical image of the song. "When I was young, it would be hard for me to sleep when I catch a cold or fall sick. Then my mom would always bring me warm milk. But because I couldn't really drink just milk very well, my mom would add honey. Because I like sweet things. 蜂蜜加牛奶真的感覺很甜但好暖喔QQ 露媽表示小露露好麻煩 "That's the meaning of the song. I've become an adult now, but if I have one wish for the 14 year old young girl of the past, it would be,'I hope you never lose your innocence and maintain it as it is.' The preparation of the solo album began a year ago. There were worries about whether to release a ballad, but 'Free Somebody' was a song [she] definitely wanted to use a title song from the moment [she] heard it. [Luna] worked hard to edit the lyrics numerous times in order to convey the accurate message. 這邊不知道"修詞"是指主打 'Free Somebody'還是其他她自己作的作品不過至少知道她真的超愛'Free Somebody' Actually, the fact that Luna released a solo from a genre other than her specialty of ballads was a big challenge in itself. Even though that was the case, she was able to stand on stage confidently because of her f(x) members. Much like her nickname 'f(x)'s Vitamin', Luna always does her best without laziness, whether it's group promotions, musicals, or her solo album. Luna's voice was clear as she "gained confidence" through her solo debut album. "'Let's work happily' was the goal of these solo promotions. Originally I tend to get very nervous so I have a complex of forgetting the lyrics when I go on stage, but once I stopped worrying so much I was able to overcome it. I think the saying that there is no better textbook than practice is right. Also, as I gain strength from the members' support, I want to do better. "I have a new goal of wanting to let myself become more known to the public through various activities. However, my honest feeling is that I do not want to perform my solo song at f(x) concerts. This is because I want to show more of f(x)'s music. Although it is a similar genre, I do not want to perform my solo song and stand out at an f(x) concert. I can just do that at my solo concert. Maybe after about 7 years? Haha."
