大膽、熱情、豪放、性感，你從沒看過的許慧欣 Daring, Passionate, Bold, and Sexy. The Evonne you never knew. 音樂劇《海上情緣》即將於11月25日在台北開演，Evonne接受95的專訪，暢談她在劇中的大膽突破。這次她擺脫白雪公主的玉女形象，在劇中扮演豪放又性感的歌舞女郎，從她眼神中散發出的光芒裡，你會知道，這將是一場非常棒的演出。《海上情緣》是1934年的音樂劇，故事背景是18世紀的美國，當時有一群政商名流將搭船前往英國，而Evonne飾演的Reno也是其中之一。Reno是個充滿自信，獨立，熱情大方的名歌星，她了解自己的美麗，也擅於利用美貌來得到想要的東西；她同時也是個火辣的傳教士，和她的Angel們用性感的歌聲和舞蹈來向世人傳教。外表上看來她擁有讓人羨慕的一切，但內心卻空洞麻木，缺乏真實的情感。她有一位叫比利的好友，是相交多年的哥們，後來Reno發現自己對他的情愫，便積極的暗示比利。但不解風情的比利反告訴Reno說，自己在工作的途上遇到一個心儀的對象(Hope)。後來，比利發現 Hope已有婚約，而且就要和未婚搭船去英國舉行婚禮時，就想盡辦法登上船，希望把握最後一次機會讓Hope回心轉意。也在船上的Reno因為好友的關係捲入這場多角戀情，戲中的每個角色的關係錯綜複雜，卻充滿歡樂和調皮，和意外的歡喜大結局。 The musical “Anything Goes” will be showcasing in Taipei on November 25th. 95 did a interview with leading actress Evonne discussing her role inthis play. This time, she totally cocooned herself out of the past image of being the typical Snow White look to a more bold and sexy caracter. We can immediatey tell from the look in her eyes that this is going to be a great play. Anything Goes is a musical back in 1934 where its explains in the 18th centurary, there was a bunch of socialites who went cruisingto England. Evoone plays the character Reno, who is a independant, passionate, and very confident star singer. She knows by using her beautiful looks, she can get almost anything she desires. She is also a missionary. She and her Angels uses their singing and dancing talent to spread the gospel to her audience. Externally, she has everything one desires. But internally she is very lonely, and lacks true love. She has a friend Billy whom she has been friends for years. She then realizes that her affection for Billy is more than just friends. However, Billy tells Reno that he met a girl through work named Hope, whom he really likes. But when Billy found out that Hope is engaged, and is about to have the wedding in England with her fiance, he decided to go on the cruise ship and try to persuade her to change her mind. Reno on the other hand is also on this ship, which makes this love triangle even more interesting.... 95專訪 X 許慧欣 Evonne 95: 和去年你飾演的Hope相比，Reno是一個反差很大的角色，有沒有轉換換上的困難呢？ E: 對我來說還好耶，其實只要了解這個故事，就不難發現她們二個是很不一樣的人。 Hope的個性比較接近我本來的樣子，比如說在某些方面很堅強，卻絕對不是個主動的人，她的舞蹈也比較接近我原本所學的，所以飾演起來比較輕鬆。而今年要挑戰Reno這個性感大膽的豪放女，難度就高上許多，她有許多行為是我在現實生活中不敢嚐試的，比如說擠乳溝啊...坐在男人大腿上調情之類的(大笑)，她的大膽、性感，就真的不是我。而歌唱的部份，除了向比利示愛的那一段，她的音樂都十分的Power 、有強烈的態度，性感或是調皮的；舞蹈方面也更為狂野豐富，有Tango, Jazz, Salsa, 芭蕾,還有讓我苦練很久的踼踏舞等等...雖然這個角色是比較困難的，但是也有更多空間可以發揮，也有更多層次的情感層面可以表現。 95：光聽你說這麼多種豐富的舞蹈，就讓人很期待。怎麼會想要演出這個角色呢？ E：以往百老匯的音樂劇中，Reno這個角色由於困難度高，都是由十分重量級的女演員擔綱。會得到角色演出的機會是前次演出的彩排時，要是有別的演員不在，我就會主動去幫那個角色走位，也把個性和聲音表情投入到那個角色的樣子，有時是熱情的火辣的Erma.. 有時是船長，有時是Reno的媽媽...沒想到導演看了覺得很驚喜：“咦，原來許慧欣也可以演這樣的戲！” 所以今年在選角時他就和我的經紀人商量，希望由我來演Reno，這對我來說是很大的挑戰，但也十分有趣。 95: 聽說你花了很久的時間練習踼踏舞 E: 對!因為踼踏舞的身體重心和動作節奏、律動等等是和其它舞蹈很不一樣的，如果沒有把下一步記熟就會很容易出錯！在對這種舞步不熟悉的情況下我只好硬背，目前還在努力當中...(苦笑) 95: 據我所知，你好像從很小就喜歡舞台劇？ E: 是的，其實大約６歲的時候，在偶然的機會下被媽媽帶去參加一個小舞台劇的試鏡，飾演男主角的女兒。小時候天真不懂緊張，上台唱完之後，導演就說：“OK，你錄用了！ ” 那次的演出經驗就讓我打從心底喜歡上舞台劇。多年後長大後當了歌手，再有機會和張學友在《雪狼湖》中合作演出時，卻覺得壓力很大；除了流行歌手的形像包袱，也很擔心自已會表現不好、會忘詞...等等。是學友哥一直鼓勵我說：『妳行的，妳一定可以的，我相信我不會看錯人。』所以我真的很感謝他，是他給我這樣的勇氣和機會，他是我們全家人的偶像。 95:這個劇中，有哪二個男生的角色的個性是你最喜歡的？ E: 其實每個人在劇中都有個鮮明的角色，而且都很幽默。像是男主角Billy為了躲避追緝，每天忙著偽裝自已，又要費盡心機把Hope的未婚夫趕走；還有 Billy的同夥Martin--那個小偷的角色也很有趣，因為他其實心地不壞、卻又夢想成為壞人界的中的老大。最有趣的是他偽裝成神父上船，真正的神父卻被抓走了！所以每次假神父在禱告的時候，都笑料百出...; 女生的角色也很有趣，例如姚坤君老師飾演的媽媽Evangeline是一個敗金的婦人，為了要讓女兒Hope嫁給有錢人，不惜大哭大鬧以博取女兒的同情.... 95: 那麼在真實的世界中，你覺得麵包還是愛情重要呢？ E: 愛情，絕對是愛情。因為我覺得錢雖然能讓你有很多享受，卻沒辦法換到真愛。如果愛上對方的理由只是一些表面上的東西，像是外表，名譽，金錢，這些東西都有可能消失，那一旦消失之後呢？我認識許多有錢人，但他們不見得都很快樂。我覺得人的靈魂是需要愛的，有愛才會讓人變得完整。這也正是Reno的問題，她有錢，有名，許多人追求，閱歷豐富，內心卻是麻木的，卻因為驕傲而不願承認，只有Billy 曾看過她的那一面， 95：面對這麼緊湊的演出你的壓力一定很大吧！請問你都怎麼紓解你的壓力？ E: 我會傳簡訊給我的朋友，或是我的家人、我妹妹，和她們說說話通常會好很多，或者看書也會讓我平靜下來，不過以目前來說，應該是背熟一段劇本最能讓我解除壓力吧，哈哈哈 95: Reno is totally different compared with the character, Hope which you played last year. Was it difficult doing the transition? E: I didnt think it was that hard for me. As long as you understand the story and its background, you’ll realize that they are two totally different persons. Hope is more like who I am. Shes very strong in certain aspects, but shes not a very proactive person. Her dance is also more of what I was trained, so it was easy for me to adapt to her character. As for Reno, this bold and daring woman, shes a bit challenging.Many of her stunts are things I dont dare to do in real life such as squeezing her cleavage, sitting on men’s laps (LOL). Her daring and sexyness is totally not me. And as for her singing part, except for the part where she expresses her feelings towards Billy, has a lot of power. Strong in character, sexy, or naughty. Her dance moves are wild and interesting with tango, jazz, salsa and ballet, as well the tap dancing which I had to learn for such a long time. Although her character is a bit harder to display, but it also gives me more freedom to express and more character to portray. 95： Just by hearing that theres so many different types of dances, its so worthwhile seeing! What made you want to play this role? E：In the past Broadway shows, the character Reno is an extremely difficult character to portray thus it is usually portrayed by celebrity actresses. The reason why I got this role is because in the past few rehearsals, if the actress is not at the post, I will usually go and help out in her shoes, and in the same time I will fully put myself in the emotions of that character, such as voice and expression. Sometimes I’m the passionate Erma, or sometimes I’m the captain, or even Reno’s mom. So when the director saw my performance, he was pretty surprised and thought, oh wow, Evonne can also play these roles! So this year when he was casting, he spoke to my agent and hoped that I can portray Reno this time. To me its really challenging, but at the same time, it’s a lot of fun. 95: So you spent some time learning how to tap dance huh? E: Yeah! Tap dacing is all about body balance and rhythmic movements, and tempo. Its different to other dances. If you dont memorize the next step, you will easily get it wrong! Im not very familiar with this dance, so i can do nothing but learn it off by heart, and I’m still trying...(lol) 95: It seems that you have loved musicals ever since a kid right? E: Yeah, at around when I was 6, my mom took me to an audion for a small play for the role of the actor’s daughter. I was so so naive back then i didnt really have butterflys in my tomach. After my performance on stage, the director said “OK youre it!” Ever since then I have loved musicals. So many years after i have became a singer, I was given the chance to be in the play Snow Wolf Lake with Jacky Cheung. I was freaked out at first. Other than having the image of a pop icon, I was also afraid that my performance will not be as good. It was Jacky who gave me alot of encouragment by saying “You can do it, I trust my picks”. I really thank him a lot for the encouragements and chances. He is my whole family’s idol! 95: Which male roles in this play possesses your favorite type of character? E: Actually, everyone n this play has a strong, yet humourous character. For instance Billy has to camoflogue himself in order to get away from the being caught, and at the same time he tries to chase Hope’s fiance away. Billy’s accomplice Martin (the thief) is also pretty funny. He isnt a bad person, but he dreams of becoming a huge mob boss. The funniest part is when he pretended to be a paster to sneak on the ship, but then was busted by the real pastor! So everytime when the fake pastor prays, he is forever making funny mistakes. The female charactors are pretty hilarious too. Like Evangeline (played by Kun Jun Yao) is a gold digger who would do anything so that her daughter Hope can get married to a rich guy. Even if it means to cry to gain her daughter’ s sympathy... 95: Ok, so in real life. Which one is more important to you? Bread or Love? E: Love, most definately Love. I believe you can buy many things with money, but not true love. If you fall in love with someone for the reason being material things, all these will disappear one day. But what happens when its gone? I know many rich people, but they all dont seem to be happy. I think the soul needs love to sustain. Love completes people. This is exactly Reno’ s problem. She has money and fame, with alot of guys after her, but internally she is empty. She wont admit it because of her pride. Only Billy has seen the true side of her. 95：You must be pretty nervous about such a tight schedule. How do you calm yourself down? E: I usually text my friends, family or sister. I feel much better after talking to them. Reading helps calming me down too. But for now, I think memorizing my lines is my best option!
