To my beloved fans,
Hey everyone,
It's been a long time since I've swung by. But just wanna say how super happy
I am to see all these activities and news happening here. Thank you all so much
for your support and most of all, your excitement about the new album. It felt
like forever since my last album, and finally, a new one is coming out and I
really can't wait. We have a week or two to go before the release, 8/19, and so
much is happening these past few days. So just an update on what's been done so
far. I feel like there's so much to fill you guys in with! lol. I guess the
news would probably cover the essentials on how this album came about, so I
don't have to go into it. But one thing that made me feel so proud with this
album is how we've come out of the shell and into the big wide world, working
with international musicians and film crew. This was something that I never
dreamed would be possible, till now.
But something about these last few years starting with Goodbye & Hello...
It seemed like I finally found the key to the locked door inside of me, and I'm
bursting into this door with so much passion and energy. A new found courage
and faith. And none of this would be possible if I didn't have your support. I
always felt like I have so much to give back to all of you, and don't wanna let
all of you down, but I was trapped in my little world, not knowing how to
express myself and not proud enough of myself to do so. But many things have
changed, hopefully for the better.
The world has changed so much since I stepped into this music business, and
sometimes it's so sad to see excellent singers come and disappear without
anyone noticing. Maybe it's our problem, or maybe it's the society, maybe
people don't care too much about music anymore or don't cherish it as much as
before, or maybe we've been making crappy music as well. But despite all these,
I never wanted to give up. I really hope that we can hold on to this precious
product of our souls as without music, our soul dies. This is what I believe
and I would continue to do my best as long as I am given the opportunity and
inspiration to make music for everyone.
Why this long 'essay' you might ask, I guess it's just something I've always
wanted to share with all of you. And thanks to Yamie who reminded me to drop by
to share a few words with all of you before the release, I might have missed
out completely. So thanks yam:-) And you might have to translate this whole
lump of english for everyone as you know...I'm quite brain dead today lol. I
just finished taking a bunch of promo pix and we had 8 changes of clothes...
gosh..since when do we need to wear so many clothes?! We're filming the music
video of '若你碰到他' tomorrow and I have to dance. ha.
So, anyway, sorry for the long rambling. I shall go watch my dance practice
now. 我們8/19 見！！ Spread the word! Tanya's coming to town lol.
