Tanya在Jupiter裡的話
Could things get any better than this? Finally an album that I've been
so eager to share with y'all!! So many songs have been written as a
result of so many things that have happened in the last 4 years. How
things look a twist in life, how I've gained some and lost some, how
I've learned, fell, cried, laughed, regretted and messed up. This album
would not have come to life without these people, places and things.....
Lupo played all the guitars and arranged everything of "Tell Me" &
"Sanctuary of Love" on Tanya's newly purchased G4 despite of limitations
like the malfunctioning of "option drag" mouse. He had a lot of fun in
Singapore recording and eating chicken rice.
Adam arranged "Hello God" & "Yellow" on his newly purchased G4, played
all the guitars and suggested that we record the whole band together
(which we did) on "On This Earth". He was also reluctantly pulled in to
sing backups on "Hello God" though Tanya swore she saw a twinkle of
delight in his eyes.
Kenny did just about everything on his G4 and got Tanya to sing at his
studio while his baby was not crying and in between thunder breaks on
that rainy day. He liked the "so" & "uh-huh" backups in "Just Like the
Movies" that he liked to bring up their faders during mixing.
Eric played all the guitars on "Drops of Jupiter", "All I Needed", "Day
& Night" & "Lost" (in which he also played bass in the last third song)
and arranged everything else on his G4. He is almost if not always
seen in T-shirts, shorts and slippers and hopes for plates of char kway
teow in exchange of his music services.
Joshua came in and out to play bass and happy Hammond solos.
Geoff aka Geoffrey & the Patchboys engineered and mixed the entire album.
He also introduced very "shang" beaches to hang out by. He was part of
Fsux and liked to be in all pictures taken with everyone (you can check
them out at the gallery @ Audioplex).
Groovy Engineer Babes and Fsux basically got pulled in to sing backups on
"DOJ"..... those brave souls. Bryan was missing the day due to some
personal engagements but he would like to have sung too.....
Lim Sek decided that he was willing to give Tanya another try in making
another album even though it's been tough to sell local English albums.
He and Tanya mutually agreed on the songs to be in the album and let her
do whatever she desired with them.
Mom was Mom and made delicious broccoli, brown rice and miso soup when
hunger calls.
Tanya hung around a lot in the studio singing, pacing about, occasionally
giving her opinions in arrangements and mixing, writing new songs and
buying lattes for all.
All the musicians who played in this album gave their very best and brought
much laughter and joy to everyone (Meimei, Christy, Eddie.....)
Everyone at Music & Movement worked really hard for this album; finding
sponsors, making calls, meeting difficult demands of some "difficult"
people, buying pastries and bananas for the famished ones in the studio.
Friends hung around through good and bad times (Yee Lin, Wes, Lupo, Jo,
Adam, Eric.....)
Fans were true blue tobies and were patient and supportive.
God was always looking above Tanya and taking care of things and making
them happen.

Happy Birthday, Tanya.
