The couple have also ordered mashed potatoes, curry, trifle and bacon sarnies to be made available. The grub will be laid on for around 200 people during a THREE-DAY do at the luxurious Cliveden House hotel, Berks. A source said: “Stevie and Alex wanted a lavish bash but they had to cater for the tastes of Premiership footballers. “Nice food will be available — but chances are most of the players will go for the bacon butties and champagne. “Alex has even stipulated the chips are to be 'fat chips and not fries’. It must be a taste thing.” Guests including fellow Scousers Wayne Rooney and Coleen McCloughlin will have exclusive use of the hotel’s golf course and spa — and chauffeured Rolls Royces to ferry them around the vast estate. Most of the Kop squad have been invited to see skipper Gerrard tie the knot with blonde WAG Alex, 24, on Saturday June 16. And Take That star Gary Barlow will play piano at the reception. The hotel expects ￡50,000 to be spent on food and drink. Gerrard, 26, has already put down a ￡70,000 deposit. The celebration begins on Friday June 15. At 2pm, 20 guests, including Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen, will join Gerrard for a round of golf. Spa treatments have been booked for the ladies. At 7pm guests will enter the terrace dining room for dinner. Hundreds of bottles of expensive wine will be served. The gents will then be led to the smoking room for cigars and snooker. On Saturday a full English breakfast will be served in the Terrace Dining Room. At 11.30am a light salmon lunch will be dished up in the Pavilion Spa Conservatory. At 1pm guests will gather for pre-ceremony drinks. At 1.40pm the Toastmaster will call guests to the Great Hall for the 30-minute ceremony. The couple’s two daughters, Lily Ella, two, and Lexie, nine months, will be bridesmaids. The cake will be cut at 7pm before a firework display. Guests will then return to the marquee for fish and chips in newspaper cornets, bacon butties and curry before the party. The disco will wrap up at 3.30am, but stragglers will be able to drink at the bar until 4.30am. The next morning guests will get breakfast — and those nursing hangovers can head to the spa. At a farewell lunch in the spa garden, guests will wash down tiger prawns and grilled artichoke with cocktails. The wedding is on the same day two England team-mates are due to get hitched — Man United’s Gary Neville and Michael Carrick. It had been rumoured Rooney, 21, would opt to go to clubmate Neville's. But he will now attend ALL THREE ceremonies before staying on at Cliveden with fiancee Coleen.
