但記者有說是因為他們行程很趕~感覺 他們很累的關係~~ 這個記者的報導我有點不喜歡~~感覺有點在寫自我觀點~~ --------------------------------------------------------------- By Wendy Teo FEW boy bands last as long as it. And even fewer are able to maintain its popularity for so long. Korean boy band ShinHwa has been around for six years, and is on to its seventh album release. Despite much talk that the band was splitting, ShinHwa assures fans it is not. Eric Mun, 25, the leader of the group, told reporters: 'The rumours probably came about because (the group) changed management companies recently. But that's not true, we are all together now.' The band is in town to perform at the Euphoria '04 concert tonight , an eight-hour music extravaganza organised by Tiger Beer. It's ShinHwa's first trip to Singapore, and the group was quite pleased with the reception it received at the airport. Through an interpreter, Shin Hye Sung, 25, told reporters in Korean: 'Andy (Lee) and Jun Jin have been here on holiday before but, for the rest of us, it's our first time here and we are very excited. The fans here are great, we received a very warm welcome at the airport.' The boys are so popular here that when they arrived at the airport yesterday afternoon , their fans had booked six MaxiCabs to give chase. And according to the organisers, because of this unexpected 'entourage', there was quite a bit of delay before ShinHwa managed to shake them off and reach their hotel TIRED The boys didn't even have enough time to rest before they were whisked off to do a sound check at the concert venue at The Padang, and then have a quick dinner before an interview with local media. So it was no wonder that the boys, all dressed in white, looked visibly tired when they faced the reporters. Initially, there were awkward pauses after the intepreter translated the questions, because none of the boys came forward to answer. Lee Min Woo, 25, with his dark cap pulled low over eyes, slouched in his chair and didn't seem very awake. Like him, Jun Jin, 24, was silent throughout the interview. Only Hye Sung, Dongwan and Eric were energetic enough to field the questions. And even though both Eric and Hye Sung replied to a few questions in fluent English, they still preferred to rely on their Korean translator. Apparently, the cab chase that they were subjected to earlier that day, was not their wildest fan encounter. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Dongwan said: 'Recently, we were in Taiwan for a concert, and a group of fans actually followed our bus, and they were all on scooters.' Hye Sung added: 'Then, there are also the fans who like to pull our hair and tug at our earrings.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The boys had recently reunited after a two-year break of sorts, during which they focused on solo careers. While Eric, Jun Jin and Andy branched into acting, Min Woo released his own solo album, Hye Sung performed with another band and Dong Wan went into modelling. But the band still prefers to function as a group. Andy, 23, said cheekily: 'Although a solo career is interesting, we prefer to sing as a group as we can always cover up for one another's flaws.' The boys have just completed work on a nude pictorial book, which took them to New York, Turkey and the Philippines. It was a forward move, as none of the other Korean artistes have done so. Dong Wan said: 'We had a very good photographer, Kim Chun Mun, and we gave him our 100 per cent trust that he would do a good job. So we had no qualms taking it all off when he asked us to.' The band is hoping to have an Asian tour once they finish the promotional rounds for their latest album ShinHwa No 7, and have yet to decide on the countries they will be performing in, but Singapore is a possibility. Near the end of the interview, when a reporter asked if they had girlfriends, the sleepy boys immediately snapped to attention. The quick-thinking Dong Wan replied: 'Some of us have girlfriends, and some of us don't. It's up to you to take a good guess which ones!' -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.64.47.96
