ModeratorB: AlisonD asks "Darren i didn't say at the London LP but I cant wait to get my hands on your new album my question is will there be special mixes of popular or have u got bsides that we've not heard yet" Darren Hayes: there are a zillion mixes of pop....Jason Nevins.. It does seem that acts coming over here, well in Vancouver lately like the Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5 to name a couple are palying clubs and smaller venues. Sounds like a really fun video btw." Darren Hayes: I wrote the treatment for popular and then Evan Bernard (the director) kind of fleshed it out a little. The idea was first shot as an experiment in NYC on the subways and on 5th Avenue (you might see it one day..) and it worked so well we made it the video concept Darren Hayes: It was called 'shameless self promotion..' 歌迷問拍攝"popular"這支音樂錄影帶的想法是哪來的 Darren說當初他先寫音樂錄影帶的大概流程然後和導演Evan Bernard討論作修改 (按: 導過beastie boys和Dixie Chicks的音樂錄影帶) 一開始試錄的時候是在紐約的第五大道也許有一天我們能看到這個版本 (按: 正式的版本是在倫敦拍的) 而Darren也稱這支錄影帶是"不知羞恥的個人宣傳" ModeratorB: Mickie asks "Hi Darren I read that you would not pose naked for any amount of money but that you would for charity.
