沒錯，報導裡說就連票房大咖Julia Roberts、安裘莉娜、梅姨、瑞絲薇絲朋等都沒試過。
Sandra Bullock blindsides US box office with new record
Sandra Bullock has made US box-office history after her film The Blind Side
became the first solely female-led movie to rake in more than $200m (￡125m),
Variety reports. The milestone puts the 45-year-old star of Speed and Miss
Congeniality ahead of A-list peers such as Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep,
Angelina Jolie and Reese Witherspoon, none of whom have managed a similar
feat.
The Blind Side, about the attempts of a determined woman (Bullock) to realise
the footballing dreams of her troubled foster child, has been a surprise
smash in the US, taking $208.5m so far and exhibiting tremendous staying
power. The film, based on a true life story, even saw off the challenge of
The Twilight Saga: New Moon – both movies were released on 20 November, but
while Chris Weitz's film opened at No 1, The Blind Side rose to the top spot
by week three and has remained in the top five since. It took another $11m at
the weekend, up 4% on its previous week's take.
The Blind Side is being seen as another example of Hollywood's increasingly
successful courting of the female audience, following the success of the
Twilight films, Abba musical Mamma Mia! and the Sex and the City movie.
For Bullock, The Blind Side is the cherry on the top of a remarkable year at
the box office. The Proposal, her battle-of-the-sexes romcom opposite Ryan
Reynolds, also performed impressively, taking $164m in the US.
By way of contrast, Julia Roberts's comparable triumph-over-adversity tale
Erin Brockovich only grossed $125.6m domestically while Meryl Streep's
biggest US hit of all time, The Devil Wears Prada, took $124.7m.
