[閒聊] 怎辦這次變成紳士的Jarvis讓我感觸好 …

大家也許都多少會希望他唱幾首PULP時期的名曲吧但是這次去聽他演唱會真的為他煥然一新的面目所感動, 甚至發誓以後要做這樣的"壯年男人"...但是我相信他骨子裡的一些想法人生觀是不變的, 也許只是不再像當年尖銳. 下文是我在網誌寫的一些心得, 跟大家分享, 請指教. 話說我前幾天去高島屋還一直在找他那種很符合高瘦身材英倫風的西裝呢XD http://raincats.blogspot.com/2008/12/14jarvis-cocker.html (我的flickr也有他的一堆照片,喜歡的可以去看看) 相隔14年的Jarvis Cocker 台北簡單生活節在我高三到大二這段期間，所謂的英式搖滾正如火如荼地攻佔英國乃至美國市場，高三時入手的Radiohead "the Bends"與大一買的Suede "Stay Together"，竟純粹只是因為喜歡 CD封面設計而賭錢下去買的，那時的我哪知道啥Brit-POP啊。就這樣，我從Suede最經典的"Dog Man Star"，"Sci-Fi Lullabies雙CD"買起，雖然後面幾張專輯我就很不喜歡，但是之前先買的都堪稱經典。接著雨後春筍----Blur，Pulp，Elastica，Radiohead，點點點；這些團有些解散有些式微(有些還變胖了，超感傷)，唯獨Jarvis Cocker (Pulp's Vocal) 在解散後仍繼續出個人專輯 (當然還有Radiohead每次改變風格都令人驚艷)，而在這十幾年來他也從寫極諷刺的歌詞 (比如說"Common People")，簡直一個從頭到腳指都充滿批判的"受歡迎的刺蝟"，成為現在基本人生哲學依然不變，但個性變的溫和許多的可愛紳士。(按小圖看大圖) 就是這首David Bowie的"Space Oddity"讓我瞬間瘋掉了:) 雖然當時很期待他唱當時PULP那三張專輯的歌，讓我好好懷念一下Common People吧，第二張專輯裡的: "Common People" 算是Pulp時期我最喜歡的歌，他描述了英國一些低薪甚至無業的生活情形，歌詞中還有個富家女就因為一些所謂理想或多一些經驗，租了個餐廳上的一層樓，當然裡面害蟲一堆，整段歌詞超諷刺的一段"看著牆上爬滿蟑螂，打個電話找那有錢老爸來，一切解決!!!" 這根本不是左派生活，這充其量是一場左派家家酒罷了。最後我還是忍不住放上一首"Common Peple" Lyrics for Common people She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge, she studied sculpture at Saint Martin's College, that's where I, caught her eye. (她有希臘人渴望知識的特質在聖馬丁學院學習雕塑時，我不禁注意到她) She told me that her Dad was loaded, I said "In that case I'll have a rum and coca-cola." She said "Fine." and in thirty seconds time she said, "I want to live like common people, I want to do whatever common people do, I want to sleep with common people, I want to sleep with common people, like you." Well what else could I do - I said "I'll see what I can do." (她說她爹有錢到爆我說，既然這樣就請我喝杯調酒吧她答應後一陣子，終於進入主題，說著: "我想過普通人的生活做普通人做的事我想跟普通人上床，很一般的人，像你這樣" 耶，我還能說啥啊，我就盡力而為啦) I took her to a supermarket, I don't know why but I had to start it somewhere, so it started there. I said pretend you've got no money, she just laughed and said, "Oh you're so funny." I said "yeah? Well I can't see anyone else smiling in here. Are you sure? You want to live like common people, you want to see whatever common people see, you want to sleep with common people, you want to sleep with common people, like me." But she didn't understand, she just smiled and held my hand. (我帶她到超市"約會"，反正我也想不到還有哪可去我說，假裝妳身上沒有一毛錢，她竟笑著說我真是逗趣呃，我可沒看到有誰覺得幽默，妳不會是認真的吧跳針般說著想活得像普通人，透過普羅眼光看事情想跟普通人上床，像是我這樣的人但她根本就在狀況外，只會笑著跟我手拉手......) Rent a flat above a shop, cut your hair and get a job. Smoke some fags and play some pool, pretend you never went to school. But still you'll never get it right, cos when you're laid in bed at night, watching roaches climb the wall, if you call your Dad he could stop it all. (在小店樓上租個陋室剪掉頭髮找份差事抽根捲煙打打撞球假裝妳根本看不懂字但妳怎做都不對盤在呆躺在床上的夜晚看著牆上小強爬呀爬只要打給妳那有錢老爹，他保證一切恢復正常) You'll never live like common people, you'll never do what common people do, you'll never fail like common people, you'll never watch your life slide out of view, and dance and drink and screw, because there's nothing else to do. (妳別想活得像普羅大眾妳絕做不了我們幹的的荒唐事更嘗不到我們受創失敗的感受也不會眼看著自己人生硬生生地脫軌只會跳舞，酗酒，搞砸一切畢竟除了這些我們沒啥好做) Sing along with the common people, sing along and it might just get you through, laugh along with the common people, laugh along even though they're laughing at you, and the stupid things that you do. Because you think that poor is cool. (跟我們一起歡唱吧也許這樣妳勉強熬得過跟我們一起歡笑吧就算大家其實在笑妳，不然妳還能怎樣您的蠢相真是令人發嚎因為閣下竟然覺得貧窮真是酷斃啦!!??)
