OASIS's NOEL GALLAGHER stars on the new CORNERSHOP album, out early next year,
NME.COM can reveal.
The as yet untitled album is the follow-up to their 1997 Mercury-nominated
record 'When I Was Born For The Seventh Time', which spawned their Number One
Fatboy Slim-remixed hit 'Brimful Of Asha'.
Noel plays on a track called 'Spectral Mornings', which Cornershop frontman
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Tjinder Singh told NME.COM was a "a heavy, psych-rock song".

A special mix of 'Spectral Mornings', also featuring Gallagher, will be
streamed on the launch day of the band's new website in late January.
An address for the site has yet to be announced.

Noel and Tjinder have long been in a mutual appreciation society,
with Cornershop supporting Oasis on dates back in 1998.

The first single from the new Cornershop album meanwhile will be
'Lessons Learned From Rocky I to Rocky III', out on February 18. It's the
band's first release proper since 1998's 'Sleep On The Left Side'.
Singh also told NME.COM the new single was a broadside attack on the music
industry and the current US "hip hop/indie rock amalgamation fronted by beefy
American characters."
"The whole nu-metal scene sucks," he said. "Michael Jackson pretends he's
white, but now loads of white people are pretending they're black.
What we're doing with our new album is putting British rock back on the map.
We're taking it back to the Birmingham heavy metal battalions - nowadays
everyone's ponces."
