Oasis star Liam Gallagher yesterday joined mourners at his uncle's funeral in
Co Mayo.
The singer arrived at Knock Airport on Wednesday with his mother Peggy for
the funeral in Charlestown of Paddy Sweeney who died from cancer.
Mr Sweeney (62), who went to England when he was 17, worked as a miner for
more than 30 years before returning to the family farm near Swinford.
Family friend Fr Tommy Mulligan celebrated Requiem Mass at St James' Church.
