NOEL and LIAM GALLAGHER have been given an ultima-TUM by their mum
Peggy – fatten up or else.
The Mancunian matriarch has ordered the OASIS brothers back home
because she thinks they now look too skinny after they started keep-fit
regimes to lose weight.
A friend said: “Peggy is a typical northern mum and wants her lads to
look big and strong.
“When she saw they had tried to slim down, she thought they were sick
or hadn’t been looking after themselves.
“She is terrified they will start wasting away. Peggy got straight on
the phone to tell Liam and Noel to come home for a homemade dinner and
‘none of that poncy muck you get in London.’”
Peggy began her ploy to turn the rockers into Teletubbies after seeing
pictures of a toned-up Liam in a glossy magazine.
Now Some Might Say Peggy — a former school dinner lady — is making a
fuss about nothing.
I mean, Liam and Noel haven’t exactly got a skinny figure like beanpole
striker PETER CROUCH.
But compared to their tubby older brother Paul they look like beanpoles.
I revealed in April how Liam had bought a running machine and hired
NICOLE APPLETON’s personal trainer to tone his beer belly. But that
was one step too far for Peggy.
She got on the blower to her boys and ordered them to her home in
Burnage, Manchester, for a family meeting — and a fry-up.
And now she has demanded they go on a diet of meat and two veg so
they don’t waste away.
The friend added: “The lads’ brother Paul, is a bit on the well-built
side, shall we say.
“While the lads think he should lose weight, Peggy wants Liam and Noel
to look more like him.”
Next time you spot the boys in a restaurant, ask them if they want a
bread roll with it . . .
