Oasis in mime shock
Oasis did not sing on the chorus of their classic track 'Live Forever',
according to the man who produced the song.
Owen Morris claims neither Liam or Noel Gallagher could reach the high
notes on the chorus of the 1994 top 10 hit, which was recently named the
greatest song of all time in Q Magazine.
And Morris says he ended up singing the famous line 'You and I are gonna
live forever' along with Oasis' manager Marcus Russell on the recorded
version of the song, which appeared on their debut album 'Definitely
Maybe'.
He said: "Liam couldn't hit the high notes in the chorus.
"Noel wasn't the greatest singer back then, and so the line, 'You and
me are gonna live forever' was actually sung by me and Marcus Russell,
the band's manager."
Oasis are set to release an 18-track double greatest hits album called
'Stop the Clocks' later this year.
