Sales for last week
Madonna's GHV2 will debut at #7 with more than 150,000 copies sold in the USA,
according to MTV.This is a truly fantastic debut considering the strange
marketing campaign behind the collection and the lack of new tracks, no single,
no new video or other standard record promotions.
Madonna's The Immaculate Collection- on the eve of GHV2's release- climbed
52-43 on the catlog chart, with 5,015 units (345 cumulative weeks on the
BB 200 and top 50 catalog chart). Ray of Light moves 169-163, with 2,700 units.
Madonna's Music moves 120-91 (578 units), while WIFLFAG is at 69 (751 units)
and DTM is at 97 (556 units)- SoundScan totals for the 3 singles are roughly
1.1 million, 104,000 and 368,000, respectively.
