I just found a really fun cookbook called A Musical Feast: Recipes from
over
100 of the world's most famous musicians and of course Madonna is
included
along with a lot of other greats from Moby to Liza Minnelli.
Madonna's page features a cartoon of her in a bowl of cherries plus
little
cartoons on the side of her in a red dress.
Cholesterol Cherry Torte
This is a recipe that has been in my family for years. The current
Ciccone
Cherry Torte champion is my sister Melanie. The last time I made it,
my
brother, Christopher, had to run to my house to save the dessert. He's
a
master at everything he does. Hate him!
Crust
2 cups all purpose flour
= cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter or margarine cut into small pieces
Filling
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
2 packages Dream Whip
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 17oz can of cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 400
For crust: Mix together flour, sugar and pecans. Using fork or pastry
cutter, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Firmly pat
down
in a large baking dish.
Bake 15 minutes. Cool, then break apart and respread in the same
pan.
For filling: Using electric mixer, beat together cream cheese and
sugar.
Add Dream Whip and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Spread over crust.
Dollop each cherry individually onto cream filling about 1 inch apart.
Refrigerate several hours before serving.

does some to be some good recipes if you can score a copy.
