[修養中] - 情緒也不穩的女王
August 5, 2001 -- Madonna may have been too sick to perform at
the Meadowlands Friday - but she definitely wasn't too sick to
act like a diva yesterday.
Madonna's two-car motorcade nearly started a riot when it blocked
traffic on busy West 64th Street while drivers and security guards
waited for the Material Girl to emerge from two days of seclusion
in her posh apartment.
Drivers stuck behind Madonna's cars were idled in the rain as they
watched the traffic light at the corner of Central Park West change
several times.
One woman got so frustrated, she got out of her car and demanded
the pop queen's British security guards move her cars out of the
way.
"She was holding a baby and screaming ‘Who's coming out, royalty?' "
one witness told The Post.
Others also got out of their cars and threatened to call cops
before Madonna, accompanied by an aide holding an umbrella over her
head, left her building.
It was the first time Madonna ventured out since disappointing
thousands of fans by suddenly canceling her concert Friday at the
Meadowlands due to a bout of laryngitis.
About a dozen fans shouted at her - the cancellation had cost some of
them hundreds of dollars, since they'd bought their tickets from
scalpers. But Madonna had nothing to say and got in her Mercedes and
drove away.
