GHV2 limited edition
LIMITED EDITION: A limited edition version of the GHV2 album will be released
on Monday, December 3rd, 2001. The catalog number of the limited edition will
be 9362-48257-2. The Packaging (which Warner Bros. says will be the SAME for
ALL countries) will be a digipak wrapped with a 5-colour matte film lamination
(over stiff Chip-Board). Inside is a 20-page booklet printed 5-colour through
-out, the 8 middle pages being an 8-page folder. There will be a suspended
wallet with the disc inside. The entire package is printed on matte art paper.
Warner Bros. Records also notes that this will be the biggest ever launch spent
on any album in the history of the company! One Week prior to release, a
series of TV ads will commence on the UK terrestrial and satellite stations.
By the end of the first week there will have been over ￡250,000 ($362,000.00)
spent on TV ads alone! However, NO word yet on how many copies will be made -
but Warner Bros. states that "stock will be limited to initial orders only" -
which basically means that only one "run" of these CDs will be made, and that's
it.
