坎城影展主辦單位原提供瑪丹娜一席評審團的名額，但她拒絕了他們的邀請，因為時
間與她心愛的喀巴拉集會衝突。

她堅持為了履行對猶太教神秘儀式的義務，她必須在坎城影展期間往返倫敦兩次，這
讓影展主管感到失望。該名主管說：「我們有談論請她擔任評審，但她的宗教信仰使
計劃無法實現。」
Bosses at France's Cannes Film Festival offered Madonna a place on their
panel of judges - but she snubbed their invitation because it clashes with
her beloved Kabbalah meetings.
She disappointed Cannes chief when she insisted she would have to travel
back to London twice during the event to fulfill her obligations to the my
stical form of Judaism. The Chief says, "We talked about her being on the
jury, but her religion meant this could not happen."
