MARILYN MANSON CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT
MARILYN MANSON was charged yesterday (August 16)
with assaulting a security guard by rubbing his crotch against the man's head
at a show in MICHIGAN during July.
The self-appointed God Of Fuck is facing a rap
for felony fourth-degree criminal sexual assault.
He could face a maximum of two years in jail if found guilty.
The Detroit Free Press reports that the guard,
25-year-old Joshua Keasler, alleges Manson was charged yesterday (August 16)
with assaulting a security guard by rubbing his crotch
against the man's head at a show in Michigan during July.
The man is alleged to have walked up behind him during the show
at the DTE Music Theatre, formerly called Pine Knob,
while rubbing his own genital area.
He is alleged to have spat on Keasler's head,
before wrapping his legs around the upper part of Keasler's body
and rubbing his genital area on Keasler's head and neck.
Manson also faces an assault and battery charge over the incident.
Oakland County prosecutor David G. Goryca said in a statement:
"The guard was a non-consenting participant.
This was not something that was orchestrated or choreographed
as part of the act. The security guard was there for the protection
of the performer, but he ended up being assaulted by the person
he was protecting. Obviously, the guard was very offended and humiliated."
Manson is currently on tour in Japan.
His spokesperson had no comment at press time.
No date has been set for Manson to formally face the charges,
though it is thought they will be presented
before the District Court in Clarkston this afternoon.
