Several months later, after running into A Perfect Circle drummer Josh Freese at a party, he began jamming with the band which subsequently led to him taking over as permanent bassist in February of 2003, filling the slot vacated by previous bassist and original member Paz Lenchantin. Referred to by some as “art rock” with “gothic elements”, A Perfect Circle was founded by Lenchantin and guitarist Billy Howerdel in 1997 featuring Tool’s Maynard James Keenan on vocals. Their first album,Mer de Noms, was released in May of 2000 and, entering the Billboard charts at #4, set a record for the highest-ever debut for a new band. Not one to stand still for too long, Jeordie has also contributed to multiple other projects, including production work and original soundtracks. His musical collaborations include work with a variety of diversified artists and projects, most notably Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme’s eclectric Desert Sessions series and Snowballs, formed with respected producer and Masters of Reality main man Chris Goss.
