The pop star, who has earned 16 ARIA awards over her lengthy career, told the audience she was "a very proud Australian." "I'm always bragging about our country wherever I am in the world and tonight's award means so much to me," she said. The singer's award was presented by Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who dubbed Minogue "so famous, we only need to say her first name." Children's group the Wiggles joined Minogue in the Hall of Fame.
