DA Tom Sneddon has agreed to delaying the arraignment for 1 week to Jan 16, 2004. Also, Michael's passport has been returned, allowing him to travel overseas. Michael will travel to the UK from December 20,2003 - January 6, 2004. Sneddon has been hugely criticized since announcing the warrant for the arrest of Michael Jackson last month. Law Professor Laurie Levenson from Loyola University said: "Everyone thought the oddest person in this case would be Michael Jackson. But the DA is rivalling him with his own antics." As the case has developed the prosecutors office have brought in Tellem Worldwide, a Hollywood public relations firm whose expertise lies in crisis management for celebrities. They have volunteered to deal with press relations for Sneddon, who has refused to talk to the media. The bringing in of the public relations firm has been criticized by Jackson's relatives as well as many others. Levenson added, "It may be naivete on their part, but it makes it look like their interests are something other than seeing that justice is done," Connie Rice, an LA civil rights attorney said that the prosecutor's demeanour, "makes this look like an unprofessional operation. It lends credence to conspiracy theories." Source: Associated Press / MJFC -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.174.166.208
