http://tinyurl.com/ygwcn3h (13-10-09) The nominees for the 2009 American Music Awards have been announced and Michael Jackson has recieved five nods for his 2003 greatist hits collection, 'Number Ones.' Jackson is eligible because the AMAs are based on sales and air play, not on the year that the material may have been released. The King of Pop is up for Artist of the Year, Pop Rock Male, Pop Rock Album, R&B/Soul Male and R&B/Soul Album. The American Music Awards, which will air on Sunday, November 22 on American TV network ABC, will have its winners determined by voting at ama.abc.com, amavote.com, and mycokerewards.com.
