[新聞] MOOV gig separates talent from wannabes
(南華早報時有出現辛辣句子 比中文報好看 可惜娛樂新聞篇幅比較少)

With local music about as popular as Lehman Brothers bonds, more than 40
artists showed up at Watermark on Wednesday to support online platform MOOV's
expansion beyond just Netvigator users.
Among those in the house were Denise Ho Wan-sze, Kary Ng Yu-fei, Miriam Yeung
Chin-wah, Soler, Alex Fong Nik-sun, Ivana Wong Yuen-chi and Charlene Choi Cheuk
-yin. Sadly, many of them also left not long after having their photo taken and
performing the required promotional schtick, which is an apt reflection on why
most Cantopop these days sucks so badly.
Ultimately, the night belonged to real musicians - the ones performing live on
stage. Led by guitarist Eugene Pao and drummer Jun Kung, the group jammed
enthusiastically and even accompanied guest vocalists Justin Lo and Khalil Fong
Dai-tung for the night's highlight. The two sang together for a
rousing rendition of Al Green's Let's Stay Together and Prince's Sexy MF.
"Nowadays it's harder to get people to really listen to music," Fong admitted.
"I think someday, we won't have physical products like CDs anymore. It's not
practical and it's not environmentally friendly. I hope there will be a good
method for people here to buy music online."
That's music to MOOV's ears.
