He explained: “The writing for the new album is done so we will record soon and it’ll be out in the new year. “It’s going to be a far more uplifting album than the last one – more pop, short and concise songs. “I played the Albert Hall with Queen so it was an honour they invited me back on stage.” Queen will collect the BMI London Awards Icon gong on October 4. TINIE Tempah was very nearly a mentor on the new series of The X Factor. The dapper Disc-overy nominee, 22, told me: “I was supposed to be doing The X Factor as a mentor and I was looking forward to it, but I’m going to be on tour in the US.
