凱特入圍第十屆英國EMPIRE AWARDS

EMPIRE是英國的電影雜誌每年奧斯卡季節前後也都會發表他們的EMPIRE AWARDS 今年的最佳女演員入圍： Bryce Dallas Howard for The Village No, you're not seeing double. For her role as Ivy Walker, - a girl who can't even see single - Bryce finds herself twice nominated this year for her performance in The Village. Lucky thing. Kirsten Dunst for Spider-Man 2 Always popular with Empire readers (gee, can't think why!), Kirsten won this award in 2003 for her first outing as Mary Jane Watson. Reprising as Spidey's bird, Ms Dunst is back in one of the five hot seats. Empire has no idea what this does to the odds, but appearing in that wedding dress can't hurt her chances. Uma Thurman for Kill Bill Vol. 2 This time around, we got to see a lot more to the Bride than just her ass-kicking abilities - why, we even got to know her name. Beyond the vicious action, Uma was able to flex her acting muscles with a range not commonly found in action movies. Obviously, she did it well. Julie Delpy for Before Sunset During its' cinema release, everybody seemed to miss the fact that Before Sunset falls into that rare category of sequels that improve on their strong predecessors. At least thirty-three percent of that is due to the talents of Julie. Personally, we'd argue it was more (except for Liz, but there's no reasoning with a rampant Ethan Hawke fan). Cate Blanchett for The Aviator She's bagged just about every other award for this performance, so it comes as no surprise that Cate is once again up for this particular Empire gong.
