The singer made her feature film debut in 2002′s “Crossroads,” which was panned by critics and only pulled in $61 million at the international box office. Spears has stayed away from movies since the project, but now the pop superstar admits she’s eager to give acting another shot — and has her sights set on playing against type. She tells the Sun, “Definitely next year I am going to take a different route.
