在都柏林買了很多報紙之後會掃描給大家知道很多人對Andy有很多的不諒解連我自己在參加喪禮前都很埋怨他但在喪禮中看到他憔悴的身影以及接下來 Stephen的母親說的一段話(希望我別打錯字......)與Mikey的致辭心中對他只剩感謝與心疼了節錄至Sunday Mirror,Oct 18 2009 "I'll always stand by my son's husband." "He would have been deeply pround by the turn out on the streets of where he grew up." "It was a rough area where he was brought up,but he never fell into a bad crowd." "I hope I brought him up properly and people can realise how amazing he actually was." Speaking at a reception in the Four Seasons Hotel,Ballsbridge, Dublin,she revealed that she fully supported him when he came out as gay in 1999. "I knew he was a gay and it wasn't a problem." She also attacked a newspaper columnist who had speculated on the circumstances of Stephen's death. She said "Ireland and the rest of the world need to get with it."
