" What about the success of 'All Rise'?
Simon: "We were really surprised first off so a big thank you for everyone out
there who bought it and we hope 'Too Close' does just as well. A lot of people
have turned round and said they expected another 'All Rise'."
Lee: "We could have come with another…"
Simon: "It won't have been a problem. We're trying to say we're different.
We're not just talking; we're making it happen."
How involved were you in the 'Too Close' video?
Duncan: "We were in it!"
Lee: "It's a collective decision between the record company, artist, management
and the director. It's not just one person calling the shots. You give them a
demo to say what sort of flavour you want. It came up trumps man!"
Can you pick a favourite track from the album?
Anthony: "'Temptation' that we co-wrote with Elliott Kennedy (Take That, Spice
Girls). It's got a 70s soul vibe like Earth Wind & Fire that I grew up with."
Simon: "My personal favourite is 'Long Time' or 'Fly By'. I'm not really into
my ballads but 'Long Time' is one that goes somewhere and it's got a lot of
umph behind it and the vocal is brilliant. I'm not blowing my own trumpet but
we're all really proud of it. 'Fly By' is a little sister to 'All Rise' and is
about having a good time."
Lee: "Track number 10. 'Back Someday'."
Duncan: "In fact it's all good. There's 14 singles on there."
Anthony: "We recorded 30 songs and we had to pick 14 or 15 good ones."
Simon: "We wanted to get a nice rhythm going through it. These are our 14 best
ones."
