What do Blue think of the current pop scene bands like Atomic Kitten and Five?
Anthony: "Respect to them all."
Lee: "Especially Atomic Kitten. They've turned it round this year and they've
come out with 'Whole Again' and 'Eternal Flame' - brilliant tunes and No.1s and
a No.1 album. They are just doing it."
Duncan: "They've got a good label behind them that's why! (incidentally Blue
share a label with Atomic Kitten)."
Anthony: "Five are cool as well."
Lee: "Don't know what's happened to Sean though?"
Duncan: "Are they called Four now? He's gone cardboard hasn't he?"
'Too Close' and 'All Rise' are pretty different. Is this a good indication of
the album?
Simon: "Yeah, you said it yourself. 'All Rise' is the R&B side to Blue, 'Too
Close' is the soul side and the next single is the Motown side. So there's
something for everyone. Its out November 26."
Lee: "We've all got very strong voices. It's not like we say 'we need a bit of
power on that middle eight or that bridge' we can all do that and project our
voices to carry it off. None of us sound like typical boyband singers. We're
all strong individual singers as well as together as a group."
Duncan: "Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. We've all got
strengths and weaknesses whether it's singing, dancing, or doing interviews.
